Rob
reckonsTiger Woods Any pursuit in which there is zero chance of getting out of breath just ain't a sport. Golf is a pastime at best... All that rubbish about how heroic Tiger Woods was for playing on with a slightly hurty knee at the US open. Don't get me wrong, the boy's a great golfer. Possibly the best ever. But he's far from being the greatest sportsman of all time. Last reply 4 Feb 2009

lewishan: Rob I can't recall Warney getting out of breath much on the cricket field, he wasn't remembered for his scoring between the wickets!! Leg spin bowling, taking catches in the slips between scratching his nuts!! Clearly rarely out of breath....obviously not the best sportsman of alltime! Poor argument Rob, in fact no argument and a demonstration of your lack of ability to write anything of substance. At least kenny used some mildly entertaining sarcasm! 30 Jun 2008

Mr T: Clearly you guys are the type who've played golf a handful of times each in your life, and been crap at it every time. So you put it into the too hard basket and - to make yourselves feel better - say that's not a sport! Ignorance is bliss. 29 Jun 2008

kenny: Yeah, it must be so physically & mentally challenging lugging those clubs around all day. Oh, that’s right, someone else carries the bag around. I do agree, remaining mentally focussed with 100,000 screaming fans would be difficult, wait, you're not aloud to talk when you're at the golf are you. Though you’ve got a point about the 72 holes, and here’s me thinking they only played 18 holes with a long break after 9. Point taken B Man, not. 29 Jun 2008

B Man: Hmmmm. Because you don't run it's not a sport. Is that the best you've got Rob? Try giving me a more challenging test than 72 holes against the best competitors in the world? This is physical in terms of getting your body to co-ordinate consistently for such a long period of time, and mentally like no other given you compete against your own demons as well as the scoreboard. You've clearly got no idea. 28 Jun 2008
