Andrew Raines Raines gone to Brisbane for pick 44. The Tiges sure know how to deal. Apparently Voss and Brisbane offered a considerably earlier pick but the Tiges said, “don’t worry about it… the guy we’re after will still be available at 44”. Posted 5 Oct 2009

    • MickTower:   I like '30 years in the making', but is it a bit ambitious? I wouldn't want to see the Tiges get ahead of themselves. 6 Sep 2009

Gary Jnr Ablett I hate seeing a player so tranparently desperate to win an individual award. Plus he looked like the guy from Little Britain in that suit ! Posted 23 Sep 2009

Jake King Interesting quote from King on the RFC site.. gives an insight to how he sees his footy. “I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know how kick? No. Do I know what I'm doing out there? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot.” Posted 10 Jul 2009

Robin Nahas You the man, know what I'm sayin'? You the man! You it, baby. Ain't nobody else. Nobody. Yo, how you do it, man? Man, you operate. It's like, you crazy smooth. You all that, and then some. Ain't no doubt. You the man all the time, 24-7! You the man when you walk it, and you the man when you talk it. You the man when you play it, and you the man when you say it. Listen up and listen real good. You know what? I'll tell you what: You the man. That's right—you it. Know what I'm sayin'? Let me break it down for you just one time. You got that fine-ass lady, don't you? That shorty is one fine-ass ride. And those clothes you wear. Damn! You be like Mr. Armani Gucci Versace or somethin' in those threads. You be shakin' it, breakin' it and quakin' it... and that's no fakin it. And I ain't even up to your moves on the court yet. You like Shaq and Penny and Michael all rolled into one out there. Slam dunkin' with a quickness! Ain't no two ways about it, and ain't nobody doubt it. My man Posted 6 Jul 2009

Alex Rance "They reckon the screws and plates will be better than it was before so there'll be no excuses, he'll go in harder next time I would hope." Geez, is his Dad Grant Thomas? Last reply 11 Jun 2009

Terry Wallace I was thinking further last night about my nearly-released thesis: 'Richmond and The End of History'. Shamelessly based on Francis Fukuyama's End of History and the Last Man, the paper will conclude that -- perhaps -- our beloved Tiges are finished as a viable entity. Perhaps the culture of losing -- so disturbingly, yet predictably on show against the Crows last Saturday -- has permeated the club so completely to the extent that its condition is terminal. I think sacking that used-car salesman scam artist of a coach Wallace would probably give us all some short-term cheer, but probably nothing more. The club culture -- that is, never making the finals and a propensity to capitulate -- must be acknowledged and an explicit process put in place to address it. Without this, perhaps the club is finished. Last reply 9 Jun 2009
