reckonsMichael Jordan Due to the impact on the sport and how far his name has reached, Michael Jordan has to be the greatest sportsman of all time. People who have never even seen a game of basketball would still know who he is, but i can't say the same of Bradman (still a legend and unmatched in his game) and Woods (still creating his legacy) Posted 13 Oct 2008

reckonsScottie Pippen Scottie could just about do it all. Defensively huge. On offense had to be a good passer with the bald bloke running around, but great at getting the job done himself with good range on his jumper. Offensive output is always going to suffer with such a 'go-to' man on the team. Would have to be considered one of the most complete players around. Last reply 3 Jul 2008

Sonny: Not a bad player, but I could think of 10-15 others I'd have ahead of him on this list. 3 Jul 2008

footyfreak: I agree he was the package. His biggest problem was obviously #23 taking all the attention. But then again he probably wouldn't have so many championship rings without him. Or could the same be said to Jordon? 28 Jun 2008

reckonsJohn Havlicek On stamina alone he'd be among the top players who ever played the game," longtime New York Knicks Coach Red Holzman once said of John "Hondo" Havlicek. "It would've been fair to those who had to play him or those who had to coach against him if he had been blessed only with his inhuman endurance. God had to compound it by making him a good scorer, smart ballhandler and intelligent defensive player with quickness of mind, hands and feet." - NBA Enyclopedia Posted 3 Jul 2008

reckonsWilt Chamberlain Nah, I don't think so, he doesn't deserve to be in the list. Jordan for me proved he was the best of all time and his dominance in his era was enough to surpass any of the greats of eras gone by. Wilt is a sentimental favourite at best. Posted 26 Jun 2008
